P'taah on Scary Movies, Trust, and Misperceptions

Q1: P'taah, I have a funny fear question. I have a difficult time going to movies that don't bother other people because I don't like seeing much of this stuff on the screen. I can feel my heart starting to race and I don't know how to get through that feeling.  Of course, I could just not look, but by the time I'm at the racing heart point, I am already physically and emotionally involved. So not watching doesn't help the fear.

P'taah:  Remind yourself of the truth, beloved. None of you really like, well, we would say most of you, do not like to dwell on that which is to your mind horrific. Even that which is likened unto scaring yourselves with your thrillers, and in a way the excitement is quite delicious for you, but the reason that you can do so with such equanimity is the fact that part of you knows it is only a story.

However, much of your scary stories are based on certain truths or certain things that have occurred in your society, for instance.  So it is then that you are to remind yourself about the nature of reality and about co-creation. And always, of course, you can say thank you for the fact that this is only a story and not occurring in your day-to-day reality for you.

Q1:  True. I think that my emotional involvement is exactly what you've said. I know that the story came from somewhere, that there are people who have experienced whatever it is. And I like your suggestion of telling myself that it's only a story. That it is not happening to me.

P'taah:  Indeed.

Q2:  I find that I need to remember to remind myself to trust and to know of the perfection in all things that are happening in and around me.

P'taah:  What is the definition of trust, beloved?

Q2:  Trust to me is, I guess, knowing the truth that I rest in the arms of God, that I am not trusting that which is ego.

P'taah:  But you see, when you know that you are eternally in the arms of the Goddess, beloved, trust does not even enter into it. Trust, in a way, is an intellectual concept. It believes that things can be the opposite of what you desire. 'Trust' is of the mind, 'knowing' is of the heart. Does that make sense?

Q2:  Yes, it's a feeling.

P'taah:  When there is the knowingness, then trust does not come into it. You see, you do not trust that the sun will come up tomorrow.

Q2:  You know it will.

P'taah:  You know it will and even if you cannot see it, you know that it is there.

Q2:  Right, right! That's such certainty, isn't it?

P'taah:  Indeed.

Q2:  So, you don't need trust because there would be nothing to not trust.

P'taah:  Correct. In the same way, when you talk about trusting other people. If you trust yourself and if you know that who you are is a Perfect, Eternal Expression of Source and if you know that everything is a perfect co-creation, then there is no point of trusting somebody. You trust who you are. You know who you are.

Q1:  Interesting. Some workers doing a little re-modeling project in my house were very careless with my things. I started to get upset, but then I remembered that there is a gift in there somewhere. I guess that's what you mean by 'knowing'.

P'taah:  Indeed. And that it is the co-creation.

Q1:  It is a co-creation. Well, that part I don't like to look at quite as much.

Q2:  Why not?

Q1:  (Laughing) Well, you know, because

P'taah:  Because it is more fun to be a victim.

Q1:  It is, yes! Thank you! I couldn't think of the word but that is true. It is more fun to be a victim, especially when you're a powerful victim who knows it's all going to work out okay.

P'taah:  Indeed.

Q2:  So is mastery fearlessness, P'taah?

P'taah:  Well, fearlessness is really simply 'the knowing', is it not? And I suppose that you could call that Mastery. All fear is based on a misperception.

Q2:  The misperception that we are separated from God?

P'taah:  The misperception that you are not whole, the misperception that you are not perfect, the misperception that you are not eternal and the misperception that death is the end of anything.

Q1:  I have a little issue here. I don't think we can be 'separate from God' like God is something outside. I think we're all a part of that God.

P'taah:  Well, you know, the moment you say the word 'God', in a way, you are creating separation because in all of your religions, all of your teachings in the collective consciousness, God is something outside of you. That is why we usually do not use the word God. We may use the word Goddess because it is feminine principal, because it is embracive, because it is nurturing, because it has a sense of no separation.

We could say Goddess-God, Source, Unified Field of Consciousness, Creation, whatever. But whatever it is and whatever label you put on it, whatever you name the un-nameable, it is not separate from you. It is who you are, else you could not exist.

And yes, you do feel separate, and yes you do not know that you are an extension, if you like, of Creation. That you are Goddess-God playing this human game and that everything is perfect.

So fear keeps you in separation but you have been taught it also. You are not taught that you are an extension of the Mind of Creation. You are not taught that you are perfect and the deliciousment of being a Goddess-God.
