Fixate on Something Good
That meadow is where the moose would often hunker down, and the occasional elk would walk through. The cranes used to feed there, where we could hear their calls echoing all summer long. It was great territory for the hawks and owls to hunt, too. The dogs and I snowshoed there every winter as well.
That was until the owner cleared out the trailer and camper to sell it to a developer, where six houses now stand. ?? What we wouldn't give to be looking at that old junk "spoiling" the beautiful landscape again!
But that's how it works, isn't it? What we focus on grows. ??
Abraham talks about how you could be looking at a situation with nine positive aspects and just one negative element, but if you focus on that little negative piece you'll transform the whole thing into something awful.
And vice versa: you could have a bunch of negative things, but just dialing on one little positive piece will transform the whole story into something amazing.
That's why I'm thinking that instead of growing anything negative right now, it's worth finding something positive to fixate on.
Just one little favorable thing - that's all we need. Put our attention there, and the world will transform.
Or ... we could focus on whatever's bothering us and continue to expand that. ?? (We all know that routine already though, right?)
Whatever we do, I'm just suggesting we do it deliberately. Because we're cool like that!
Hey, did I tell you about how I've almost got the chickens talked into coming inside?! (Chad would say now I'm jumping the shark.) ?? These are some friendly girls, though! I've never known chickens that wanted to hang out together as much as these do! Whenever they see me, they come running! It's the cutest thing ever! They peck at the front door like they want me to come back out and play! It's so adorable! ...
Just like that. One tiny positive thing to fixate on. Whatever you've got handy will do! ??
Or here's another idea for you ... with so much craziness in the world right now, maybe this is a perfect time for some wild and crazy dream come true manifestations? That's the latest podcast and post for you.
