It's Not Them, It's You (& Why That's a Good Thing)

It's Not Them, It's You (& Why That's a Good Thing)

Get this - I just found out that one of my favorite love interests unfriended me on facebook sometime this month. wth?! Last I heard we were planning a trip together this summer?!

I figured it might have been an accident. (You never know with facebook, right?) So I coached myself not to make it a big deal, and reached out to see what was what up. Got nothing but crickets.

Hmph. Go figure.

I was doing my best to take that in stride, even though I rather liked him. That's when I learned that one of my favorite people on the planet rolled through town without even tweeting me she was here, let alone suggesting a get together. omgosh! What did I do to deserve that? (Now I'm starting to wonder if there's something wrong with me.)

To top it off, one of my most inspiring business contacts dropped off my radar, too. Am I like the most offensive person on the planet, or what?!

As I sat entertaining thoughts about how I really must get better at nurturing relationships and wondering what I did to offend so many fabulous people at the same time - I ran into a different thought that warrants consideration for all of us …

(I've heard Bashar, Abraham and other spiritual leaders talk about this before, but I wasn't really prepared to experience it quite like this, I guess. Anyway, what they've said is …)

… when we upgrade our game and start flowing higher vibrations - there are consequences to that. (All good consequences, but sometimes we might not initially see it that way.) Because doing our energy work puts us in a different vibrational sphere, and not everyone is going to be up to speed with that new vibrational territory.

So, some friendships might dissipate. Some people might disappear on you. Some relationships might shift in how you experience them.

That's okay.

And actually, it's a good sign. Don't let it discourage you or lead you to conclude there's something wrong with you.

It could just be your vibration is not something they know how to hang with. Maybe .. ?

But that's cool. Because it means you're in range of new people, new friendships, and new relationships that are much more amenable to the game you're playing these days.

At least, that's the thought that feels much better to me. (“Of course we can't stay in touch - I'm out of their vibrational range!”) I don't know if it's true in my particular cases, but it feels a bazillion times better than thinking I'm a jerk. And it is also a very plausible explanation.

So if you've been sweating it that someone's not showing you the love any more, consider it's their loss and a sign of your higher alignment. And keep up the good work! :)
