Manifesting What You Want

Manifesting What You Want

Wayne Dyer & Deepak Chopra

Wayne Dyer and Deepak Chopra on how to manifest what you really want:

At three minutes in, Wayne talks about how it's okay - maybe even a good sign - to be "really weird."  "Honored troublemakers" and "disturbing elements" - it's all good.

Embrace your independence, don't worry about fitting in with being what others think you should be.

The whole idea of what it means "to be" (marching to the beat of your own drummer), there is a consciousness, a level of living, that goes beyond what we think of as every day ordinary human awareness.

You don't have to get on a spaceship to find God, just look deep within yourself.  To get to the next level, you don't have to "leave your vehicle."  This is the time to honor who you are and why you are here.

Maslow says there are three things that separate out the highly functioning people from the rest of folks:

1) independent of the good opinion of other people.  (March to your own drummer.)

2) detached from outcome.  They didn't do what they did in order to receive something for it.  They were on process, not outcome.  They did what they did because their heart told them this is what your heroic mission is, this is what you're here for.

3) had no investment in power or control over others.  Their life was about being on purpose and letting other people's opinions be something that others handled.

Dyer talks about the challenges of becoming independent of the good opinion of other peopole, and what it has to do with manifesting.

At a higher level of consciousness, you can achieve instant manifesting (the gift of fish and loaves as an example of no time delay).

You can reduce the amount of time between what you put your attention on and how long it takes to manifest in your physical life. In order to get to this place we have to vanish the doubt that it's possible and shift from a belief system to a knowing.

A belief system has generally come to you from your tribe.  We buy into these systems and live by them, but they are tainted with doubt because it came from someone else.  There is a key difference between believing and knowing.

Particles themselves are not responsible for their own creation.  Figure out how to make conscious contact with spirit, and you will be the master of particles.

"If you knew who walked beside you at all times on this path that you have chosen, you could never experience fear again."

Kahunas are raised on knowing, not on doubt.  It takes an abandonment of tribal consciousness to let you get to a place where you are willing to say "I KNOW" that I can attract into my life what I want.

"What you really really really really want you will get."  The four really's stand for wish, desire, will (intention), and passion (hardening of the will - i.e. ignoring others who tell you it's not possible).

Why not to tell others about what you are manifesting.

You will also get what you really really really really don't want.

Wayne says he left the tribe a long time ago, although they still send him invitations. (!)  Mom asked him when he's going to get a job.  lol

You cannot despise being overweight, or being poor, and expect to manifest anything other than that.  Your three options are to put your attention on what you want, what you don't want, or what they want for you.  (The best answer is the first option!)

You have to think of your thoughts as currency.  You must learn to get your attention on what you want, rather than what you don't want.

Wayne says to the cold virus, "Look, you've landed on the wrong immune system."  (It is as we believe.)

The trail (the wake) does not drive the boat.  Leave tribal consciousness behind.

Deepak on how we get to "knowing"; the old paradigm was survival of the fittest, the new criteria will be survival of the wisest.  "Metabiology" - going beyond biology.

Quoting Carlos Castenada: There are three kinds of people: the nice, the nasty and the indifferent.  We must go to the little space between the stimulus and the response, to the witness.  Become the independent non-evaluative, non-analytical, non-judgmental witness of whatever is happening.

Develop the "restful awareness response."  Ask in the Gap.  That's where you connect with the Cosmic Mind, transcending space/time.

No illness is ever due to a pathogen; that's a misleading idea in medicine.  AIDS does not occur from HIV.  Illness is always a conspiracy of improbabilities; a susceptible host falls prey to a pathogen.  To not be a susceptible post, we must rise above fear-engendered responses.

St. Augustine's prayer (similar to Rumi's): all my life I've been knocking on the door, only to realize I was knocking from the inside.

A good scientist these days will tell you the Unified Field is made up of four forces in nature: electromagneticism, gravity, the strong force, and the weak interaction.  Subatomic particles are more like ideas than actual things.

All these forces come from one fundamental force (light).  When God said, "Let there be light," he wasn't speaking metaphorically, but literally.  You and I are beings of light (the light of intelligence).

More and more scientists are recognizing that intent is a force in nature.  The yogi plunged a knife through his bicep in front of Deepak's physiology class and because a (real) yogi has a body of consciousness (meaning a body of light, and light doesn't bleed), rather than a body of flesh and bone, it didn't bleed.  Until he was mocked, which engaged the yogi's self-image ...

As soon as his attention shifted, it began bleeding and the yogi sprayed the front row with blood.  Once the yogi recognized what happened and let the ego go, it stopped bleeding as quickly as it opened, like a faucet.

Escape the tribal mind and see how there are states of consciousness which are beyond the ordinary waking, dreaming and sleeping.

"Even the least among you, greater works shall you do."

Dvine consciousness; spirit is not difficult to find, rather it's impossible to avoid.

The final state of consciousness is unity consciousness, where we experience the Universe as our own body, one and the same.

Discussion begins including Wayne's story about his 7 year old daughter's flat warts.  (The virus and also the cure is in you; talk to them by saying I accept that you've been with me, now I'd like you to please leave.  You can get rid of them by using your inner healing capacity.)

After four years of having these "bumps," within four days of hearing she could heal herself she eliminated them all.  She embraced the knowing, had an absence of doubt, and accessed the energy to heal herself.

Deepak talks about the placebo response, where the intention for a drug to help creates a physiological response.

The nocebo is the opposite of the placebo.  (Believing a doctor's negative prognosis.)  Statistics never apply to the prognosis of patients.  Averages mean nothing to the individual.

The Aborigines have a custom of having a witch doctor do a ritual on a stick, then the person points the stick at their enemy.  Within 24 hours, the victim (enemy) is sick; within a week they're dead.  The Australian government outlawed the custom of pointing the stick as murder with a lethal weapon.  That's how powerful an idea is.

Wayne shares the story about looking for God in the tomato seeds as a young boy.

Why silence is the source of manifestation (the place of non-duality).  Zero and silence cannot be divided.

Shatter the illusion of separateness through meditation.  That's how you make conscious contact with the creation process.
