Gunn HS is in my 'hood (SF Peninsula) ~ when I was an Adobe Systems employee in the early 90s, I went there to present for Career Day.
It's so heart-warming to see how accepting and loving kids are today. I grew up in the arts, and had a lot of diverse friends but they did not speak openly about themselves. My son now has many openly gay, bi- and transgendered friends ~ all of whom are valued not for their preference but for their ability to be a true friend.
As a parent and a fellow human, I LOVE THAT!!! :D
