'Truths' Worth Questioning
Why I'm not a fan of picking up pennies & carrying $100 bills ...
All conscious creators know the benefits of celebrating pennies found on the sidewalk, and how powerful it is to carry $100 bill in our wallet.
We all know it's a practice of prosperity to tithe regularly, and I myself share the wisdom of writing a page a day about what you want as if you already have it.
Everyone can quote the perks of practicing forgiveness and appreciation. And we'd all agree that Abraham is the hands down best LOA teacher on the planet today.
And yet …
When I pick up pennies off the ground, I sometimes feel “lack” instead of abundance. (Seriously, I feel richer stepping over them rather than stopping to collect.)
And for me, carrying a hundred dollar bill in my wallet makes me feel nervous. (Remember it's there! Don't lose track of it!)
If I try to tithe on a schedule it quickly becomes a chore on my “to do” list. (So much better when I do it spontaneously as inspired.)
I'm not a fan of forgiveness, because it feels like it's based on a conclusion that someone did me wrong, which I don't believe in.
While I believe Abe has no peer, I know fellow creators who can't stand to hear Esther's voice. (That boggles my mind, but there it is, just the same.)
And pray rain journaling – even though I learned that you're supposed to do a page every day till you get to the end of it, I do much better with just a couple entries a week. (What can I say? The formula works better when I customize it according to my own feel-good.)
This stuff is SO personal. So individual.
What works for you may not for me, and vice versa.
Which is why it serves us to check in with our own guidance regularly. Just because it rocks someone else's world in all the best ways doesn't mean it will for us.
We can tell based on how it feels.
And when we have the courage to let that rule our actions, we're on the fast track to alignment.
Are you practicing anything just because some LOA savvy source said so? Pay attention to how it feels, and choose what feels better. Even if it's not popular; even if it's not 'wise.'
You - and only you - know what's best for you. Trust yourself to know, be willing to let it change, and honor the input you get. Tuning within helps us stay on our alignment toes.
