Universal Remedy for Failure to Manifest

Universal Remedy for Failure to Manifest

Earlier this month at the Chopra Center an instructor told us that meditation was our first remedy for whatever was wrong - whether it was a health challenge, emotional instability, trouble at work, personal relationships - doesn't matter.

He said meditation is the first place to go to improve everything.

He may be right, but I tell it a little different.

I say self love is the first line of defense.  When we're having trouble manifesting what we want, I think the best step is to amp up our self love.  To treat ourselves better, to establish super high standards of self care, to improve our self respect and self worth.

Because the world around us can only be as good to us as we are to ourselves.

So if we hold out the goods on ourselves, the Universe has to respond in kind.  Makes sense, huh?  That "like attracting like" thing again.  ; )

While my clients get this concept, many are lost when it comes to implementing it.

  • "Love myself?  I don't even know what you mean by that."
  • "How do I improve my self care when I think it's already pretty good?"
  • "Treat myself better?  I already get a manicure every week!  What else do you want?!"

(Seriously, that's what I hear!)

I believe self love is THE single biggest key to successful manifesting - to getting what we want.  For that reason, I'm sharing tips on how to do it in case you're feeling stuck with something.

Throwing a little love on yourself will very likely grease the wheels to get things moving again.

Tips to Amp Up Self-Love:

First things first: you really are better at this love thing than you give yourself credit for.  Think of someone you love dearly.  With that person (or pet - or car) in mind, how do you love them?

How would the rest of us be able to tell you cared for them?  What do you do for them?  How do you talk to them?  What do you think about them?

Okay, now do, say and think those things to yourself!

You're a good listener to your twin sister?  Great!  Give yourself that same gift!  Make time to truly HEAR yourself!

You're always sure to stock your grandson's favorite treats?  Give yourself the same gift!  Splurge on the out-of-season organic strawberries, buy your favorite brand of tea.  This is pretty easy, huh?

You say nice things to your hubby when he's had a rough day?  Great - flow that supportive self talk to yourself!  It feels good, doesn't it?!

Yeah, we're really good at loving others, and when we use those same skills on ourselves, we'll feel like a billion bucks!  (And Universe has to answer that vibe.)

Second tip to practice more self love: Imagine how you want someone else to love you.  Whatever you want from them, start giving to yourself.

You want them to be available?  To care?  To do nice things for you?

It starts with you - be available to yourself; show yourself you care; do nice things for you.  Trust me, it feels good!

Third tip to amp up your self love: Whatever you are currently engaging in for yourself that you wouldn't do to someone you love - stop it.

When I realized I had double booked myself last week, I said out loud and with emphasis, "Oh, you idiot!"

I can hardly imagine saying something so mean to anyone, let alone someone I love.  And yet there the words were for myself.

As I felt my vibe plummet, that was my signal to stop.   Stop being so hard on myself and cut myself some slack!  Whew, what a relief that was!

There are lots of other ways to improve your self love, but these three tips will get you started if you're feeling stuck.  Be sure to keep me posted of the fabulous things that unfold as you start this new love habit!
