What We Know For Sure
There are some things set in stone that law of attraction can't change, right?
Like that people can't survive for long without food or water, that there are limited resources on earth (only so much oil, only this much land, etc.), and that there are only 24 hours in a day.
There are simply some things we know we can't change.
Please tell me you're not falling for that.
Yes, there are times when what we KNOW without a doubt serves us incredibly well. Like the way I know Good Vibe U is destined to be enormously successful and the way my carpet guy knows he can get the stain out of the rug.
That's a helpful knowing.
But when what we know serves as a limitation rather than a platform to success, it's time to question what we (think we) know for sure.
"No one could have survived that." And yet, sometimes they do.
"There's only so much time in the day." Really? Have you tried bending it? And did you know a good earthquake or two can change the length of our days?
"Fuel cells don't work." Since the 1830's, this cheap and clean energy source has proven to be a pipe dream. Don't look now, but that dream's come true.
"I'll never write a blog." That I knew for sure. (377 posts, hundreds of thousands of views, and 8,457 comments later I think it's safe to say that was a foolish "knowing" on my part.)
Someone I recently spoke with knew that the kind of house she wanted did not exist in her price range in the neighborhood she preferred. We weren't even finished talking about how to relax her knowing - before an email arrived from her agent revealing a completely adorable and affordable house right where she wanted. (Which she subsequently put an offer on.)
My point is that when we know something solidly, crystal clear without a doubt, it's worth asking whether it's what we want.
If it's not (what we want), we can exercise our flexibility to opt out and choose something different.
Because we can't call ourselves true deliberate creators if we live in the box of what we've been taught is true and possible.
(Which is why "Says who?" and "Watch me!" are two of my favorite mantras to hear anyone use.)
Powerful creators like us decide what's true and possible! Just ask Will Smith. And Jim Carrey. And lots of other folks who are brilliantly exercising their ability to create what they choose.
So this is your official invitation to explore what you know for sure, and change it up if that knowing isn't serving you. It's our destiny to create it just like we want it. That's what I know for sure. :)
